About the Autism Empowerment Podcast

Autism Empowerment Podcast

The Autism Empowerment Podcast is currently on hiatus. From 2022 – 2023, we published 23 episodes and hope to be producing new content again under a new look and feel in late 2025, early 2026.

We have included our Autism Empowerment Podcast trailer below and Episode 001.

We do also have a website specifically for our podcast! Visit: www.AutismEmpowermentPodcast.org for episode information and Show Notes (We used to have transcripts as well but those are currently experiencing a technical glitch but will be back online when we relaunch our next season). Subscribe to our show on Apple Podcasts, Spotify or wherever you find your favorite podcasts.

History:

(This information below is historic and some of the links may be outdated. Relevant details will be eventually moved to our podcast website at www.AutismEmpowermentPodcast.org)

Autism Empowerment Radio was a free podcast that launched in June 2012 and has reached over 150,000 listeners worldwide since that time. Autism Empowerment Executive Director and Co-Founder, Karen Krejcha, was the host. In 2014, the show was put on hold due to the growth of Autism Empowerment and trying to balance time and financial resources. The podcast was reimagined and brought back for 23 episodes in 2022.

Autism Empowerment On The Air microphoneAll show episodes from 2012 – 2014 are currently archived. Select shows with evergreen content may be brought back in the future after we have the opportunity to edit them and improve the sound quality.  The show’s range on average is between 30 and 60 minutes. Past shows offered a wide range of original content of interest to individuals and families within autistic, autism and neurodivergent communities. We also hosted interviews with guests around the world. Many of our past guests include autism advocates, authors, care providers, educators, parents, and other professional individuals and organizations.

We also had a podcast in 2012 – 2014 called Autism and Scouting Radio that was a complement to our Autism and Scouting program and hosted by John Krejcha. These episodes are also currently archived, however we may rebroadcast special episodes in the future.
